She was born on the 14th of February 1972 in England and moved back to Malaysia 2 years later. She started modelling at 14. Her most famous TVC was Johnson & Johnson. She started acting once she left school (SM Assunta) at 18. She started off working as an extra in films & dramas. In her early days, she acted in a drama by Daharuddin Kadir called ‘Lia Mustaffa’ in which she played a young girl who falls in love with her father’s best friend. She then moved on to a film entitled ‘Mira Edora’ starring Julia Rais.
Her acting breakthrough came in 1992 with the film ‘Perempuan, Isteri &…’
From then on, she did more films ‘Cinta Kita’, ‘Kekasih Awal & Akhir’ and stage plays, for instance ‘Malam ini Penyu Menangis’, written and directed by Nordin Hassan, an Actor’s Studio monologue ‘3 Lives’ starring Sofia, Faridah Merican & Ijat, and ‘Visits’, directed by Ida Nerina,
Her most recent film is Puteri Gunung Ledang, in which she plays Tun Teja.
